I was lucky enough to stumble upon Brit Floyd on PBS a few months back during one of their fundraiser drives. I later found out that a full length DVD of the show is available by going to the website and paying a couple pounds for shipping. I got this in the mail a few weeks back and was simply astounded. As a hardcore Floyd fanatic, it is very hard to hear a cover band do their music unless, one… they do something original with it (for example, Scissor Sisters), or two… they are able to get the details right.
Roger Waters would do well to hire these guys as his backing band. The guitarist obviously understands how to play David Gilmour’s solos, something almost nobody can get right because they try too hard. While the singers do not have exact voices, they sing the parts correctly. They have enough members to play all of the parts on the albums. And it’s obvious to my ears that the members of Brit Floyd actually had discussions over which versions to play. “Okay do we do the PULSE intro to Another Brick In the Wall Part II?, then the 1980 live solo? Do we add the Roger Waters solo version ending?” My inner music geek jumped for joy when realizing while watching that all these things had been considered. They even got licensing to use some of Storm Thorgerson’s original film clips for the show.
It came to my attention that the band will be playing at the LC Pavilion here in Columbus, OH, and I definitely *have* to see this in person. The upcoming “P*U*L*S*E Tour” promises to have full album sides of some of their greatest. The staging is an appropriately scaled down approximation of the 1994 Division Bell tour, with modifications made due to new newer technology and features them playing songs not considered when Pink Floyd last toured in 1994.
Go see them if you have the chance! You won’t be let down.

hi,
I do not agree on brit floyd members.
The drummer is a jackass.
The drummer of waters and even the best drummer gilmour, but as a guitarist I disagree, because the guitarist Waters (Dave Kilminster), which favors the metal is not suitable.
Then what about organ is not discussed, Carin is the same for both Waters and Gilmour ..
Again, in the formation of waters should be changed only guitarist. And I do not understand why Waters Snowy White does not put as first guitar.
in the execution of shine on the live Roger waters Live, snowy ago see all his fame as a true guitarist .. warm sound and at the same time impetuous ..
where can i get the Brit Floyd DVD ?
If you follow the link in the article to the official Brit Floyd site merchandise section, the last I checked you could get it for free if you paid shipping.
